Options:

Classes finish at noon on Fridays, so that those who want to explore the island on their own or who want to

sign up for optional weekend excursions may do so (see below). But your deluxe room at the school's resort

is already paid for if you just want to stay there, relax, and enjoy the food, drinks, pool, beach, and other

facilities-or maybe do homework? There are also local weekend excursions that are free for all program

participants.

Local weekend excursions for participants include Friday night outings to the Capital's hottest nightclubs,

where you can practice both your Spanish and your new dance steps, and shopping and sports excursions

on Saturdays and Sundays--how would you like to play basketball in Santo Domingo or baseball in San Pedro

de Macoris, home of our world-famous Sammy Sosa?
