Student Agency Services or SAS, currently operating as Student Services, was officially funded and incorporated in the Dominican Republic in 2000 as a student & researcher service agency for students and professionals. Its function is to promote, organize, provide, and take charge of logistics, student training, development programs, and academic policies, and to provide and coordinate with professors to provide materials that will be used in the teaching process. Incorporated in the D.R. as RNC#123-014996; registered in the USA under IRS section 501 (c) (3) FID#82-5266169.

Sports Medicine Program

This program will serve as classes for the students' “curriculum of life” as well as for their professional lives. Exchange activities are very useful for helping students and other participants to discover for themselves the reality of the Dominican people and their culture. The participants will have every opportunity of sharing in and living the “Dominican reality pre-clinical observation, culture and medicine.

Arrival:

SAS/Guanin stall will gather to welcome them and conducted to the Europa Hotel in the Colonial Zone or to the host family

Orientation:

We provide general orientations to the country, culture, economy, politics, people.... and to specific regions or topics. The orientations are tailored to meet the particular needs of your group, after the orientation, tour of historical site, cultural lecture by Dr. Lynne Guitar, Ph.D

Accomodation:

a) Europa Hotel 3 stars, at the colonial Zone

Included free wifi internet, TV with cable, hot water, air conditioner, breakfast, tel., room with 2 beds, safe and clean.

b) Host family

included private room with double bed, fan, table to read, 2 meals and share bathroom, some of the family have internet.

Program Schedule:

Sport medicine

a) Monday to Friday 8:00 to 12:00 PM. Clinical and hospital observation ship

b) 3 times a week, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Field practice to sport field, Gyms and rehabilitation clinic

c) 2 (twice) a week, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Medical, Spanish classes

d)Doctors Guest speaking specialists in sport medicine, nutrition, Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics of exercise, etc.

Naturel Medicine and hiking trip:

a) Saturday, Hiking trip to Jarabacoa and Constanza

b) Saturday, Trip to the sulfur water, to the Sur part of the country. Sulfur water Independencia province, (National Park los Haitises) etc.
